Binary Space Partition Tree Overview. In this tutorial on game programming and creation, I give an overview for the development of a very important type of Binary Space Partition Tree. This data structure will make your first person games render and detect collisions at lightning speeds. I don't actually implement the datastructure in this tutorial, but I give you all the background information needed to understand it. I will walk users through implementing one of these trees in the next tutorial. | ||||

UV mapping Characters In this tutorial, I show you how I UV map a character. I show a technique uses cloth calculation to lay out the UVs. This helps the UVs to be more true to form than if you just planar mapped and arranged everything by hand. The tutorial is an hour long, and has much more readable text than tutorials made earlier. I walk users through the steps to do this technique. Warning, there is some modled nudity in this video. There is a very blocky and almost unrecognizable portion of the male genitalia. |

Low Polygon Weapon Modeling In this tutorial, I show how I modeled a hand gun using 3ds Max 6. The tutorial requires Divx 5.1, and is about 30 minutes long. I provide audio commentary that is designed to help viewers understand the tools I am using. This tutorial may be a little hard to follow for the beginner, so I recommend if you are not comfortable with 3dsMax6, then you first watch the basics of box modeling video. |

Head Modeling Tutorial In this tutorial, I show how I modeled a human head using subdivision surfaces in 3ds Max 6. The tutorial requires Divx 5.1, and is about one hour long. I provide audio commentary to walk users through undesrtanding the steps required to model a human head. This tutorial may be a little hard to follow for the beginner, so I recommend if you are not comfortable with 3dsMax6, then you first watch the basics of box modeling video. |

Making Video Tutorials This tutorial shows how I make video tutorials. Please note that there are many ways to make video tutorials, and if you don't like Windows Media Encoder, you can use Camestasia or many other popular screen capture programs. I use windows medeia encoder because it's free, and it's the first one I tried. |

Changing Camera Angles without compositing This tutorial shows how you could keyframe different camera angles instead of compositing different clips. This method will easily get complicated with long clips and many camera changes, so I suggest you get a compositing program. This method will do for short animations that just need a few camera changes. |
